One brand, one county
Narrow on purpose. Depth on a single manufacturer is worth more on a built-in appliance than breadth across ten.
Independent, and clear about it
Clayfield Appliance Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Thermador or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.
That is not a formality buried in a footer. It is the reason to read the rest of this site: nobody is routing your call, setting the rate, or deciding which parts get fitted except Clayfield Appliance Service.
Credentials
EPA Section 608 certified technicians. EPA Section 608 certification covers handling of the sealed refrigerant systems in built-in refrigeration. It is a federal technician credential, not a manufacturer program.
Why Thermador only
A built-in kitchen is not a collection of interchangeable boxes. The service literature, the parts channel and the diagnostic habits are specific to the manufacturer, and they only compound if you stay on one. Adding a second brand would dilute all three.
How a visit is run
Cheapest and most reversible first. The complaint is confirmed with an instrument rather than a display, then the supply, then the door and the opening, then airflow, and only then the control board — which is the most expensive guess on the list and the one most often ordered first elsewhere.
A good share of what looks like appliance failure in Clay County is installation geometry or power history rather than a failed component, and neither is fixed by a part. Saying so costs a job and keeps the estimate worth reading.
What this company will not take on
Work inside a live manufacturer warranty belongs to the manufacturer, and an independent repair can complicate a claim. An open recall or a published safety action is theirs to carry out as well. Gas supply beyond the appliance, panel work and duct construction are licensed trades, and they get referred rather than attempted.
Cheapest cause first
The control board is the last thing read, not the first thing ordered.
